Q.
I just got a new computer (Windows 7) and larger size monitor, so
I want to take advantage of all that screen space.
Is there an easy way to resize the window when I open a
program?
A. Windows 7 has features that were
not available in XP or Vista. The
“Aero Snap” feature has a nifty way to resize the windows of your open programs.
Here’s how:Open your program, such as Word.
Grab the window in the title bar (position your mouse at the top bar
showing the program name, hold down the left mouse button).
If you drag the Window to the side of your screen, it will automatically
resize to fill exactly half your space. If you drag the Window to the top of your screen, it will automatically
resize to fill the entire space.
While you’re holding the mouse, the screen will briefly look shaded to preview
the area. |
