Windows 7 New Features
Q. I
just got a new computer (Windows 7) and I’m
looking for some of the new features. Do you
have a recommendation?
A.
Windows 7 has features that were not available
in XP or Vista. One of the new features is
called “Jump Lists”, which is another shortcut
method.
Move your mouse to the Windows
7 task bar (lower left, bottom of your screen)
and right-mouse click on one of the icons.
What appears above the icon is a “Jump List”.
Depending on the icon, the “Jump List” may
vary.
For example, if you right-click
on the Windows Explorer icon, your “Jump List”
will show most recently opened documents and
files.
If you right-click on the
Internet Explorer icon, then the “Jump List”
will show frequently visited web sites. If
you’d like to watch a short video on how to
use “Jump Lists”, click below.
